We continue to urgently advocate the needs of members and the broader music industry to all levels of government.

The live music and entertainment industry has proposed a five point re-opening plan.

If your earning capacity has been impacted by recent lockdowns, you may be eligible for government support.

APRA AMCOS continues to urgently advocate the needs of members and the broader music industry impacted by recent lockdowns to all levels of government. We are convening weekly roundtables with music industry bodies and organisations to ensure there is an open forum to share information, data and key case studies that argue to needs of the industry.

The roundtable has agreed on a five point re-opening plan which we are taking to all levels of government. It includes the need for crisis support and wage subsidy programs for individuals and businesses, a government-backed industry insurance scheme to rebuild confidence and capacity, recognition of musicians, event professionals and staff as essential workers for travel between states and territories, and best practice state and territory based 'COVID safe' policies. Members whose earning capacities have been impacted by recent lockdowns in Victoria, NSW, SA and QLD may be eligible for support. We urge you to investigate options that may assist you.

There are also additional federal and state based responses for the music industry available:

We urge all members to register the impact of lockdowns on their work through the I Lost My Gig 2021 Survey, which is helping industry inform government on these packages of support.
