Congratulations to Sydney-based singer and songwriter Allegra Neve, the 2021 winner of the prestigious Josh Pyke Partnership.
Made possible by Josh Pyke and APRA AMCOS, the partnership aims to connect an unsigned musician or band with the exciting opportunity to receive mentorship and funding that will help to grow their career.

Allegra wins a $7,500 grant to kick-start her music career. In addition to the financial reward she will also receive valuable insight and mentorship from Josh Pyke himself and his team of Gregg Donovan (Wonderlick Entertainment) and Stephen Wade (Select Music).
Allegra joins a list of impressive past recipients: Bec Sykes (2020), Eilish Gilligan (2019), Sumner (2018), Angie McMahon (2017), Alex Lahey (2016), Gordi (2015), Govs (2014).

Allegra Neve writes incredibly accomplished songs by anyone’s standards. Insightful lyrics, strong musical instincts and melodies for miles.
I reckon Allegra's music is going to make a huge impact both here and abroad, and I’m really proud that myself, APRA AMCOS, Wonderlick Entertainment and Select Music will play a small part in kicking off her career.
Remarkably, Allegra has been applying for the JP Partnership since she was 10 years old!
Every year I’ve been blown away by her talent, but it’s now, at the grand old age of 13, that her music has developed to the point where she’s ready to take it to the next level.
Congratulations Allegra, I’m so pleased to present you with this opportunity, and look forward to watching the amazing things you’ll no doubt go on to do.
For me, 2021 has been the most difficult judging process to date. There were so many fantastic entries that had such a variety of things to offer, and with Covid having placed my industry in turmoil, I wish I could have offered the prize to more people.
With that in mind, I’d like to give special mention to the following acts, you’re all bloody brilliant creatives, and whilst I can’t offer you the prize money, please feel free to reach out to me anytime at all!
