LGBTQIA+ songwriters, producers and artists are invited to apply for the first ever Pride SongHubs, presented as our flagship event SongHubs The Tower. Celebrating our 90th SongHubs since its inception in 2013, this is a unique event curated by two of the industry's queer heavy hitters: Troye Sivan & Lucas Keller (Milk & Honey).
Proudly supported by major sponsor Marsh and partners Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, the Abbey Road Institute and Soho House.
SongHubs are short intensive songwriting camps that bring together selected APRA AMCOS members and renowned international songwriters and producers to create new hits.
With a slew of music, modelling and acting credits to his name, (including an APRA AMCOS Billions Award for his 2015 hit 'Youth'), Troye Sivan is one of Australia's most successful songwriters and pop stars. Lucas Keller's company Milk & Honey represent some of the music industry's finest, with multiple gold and platinum awards, Billboard chart #1s, UK chart #1s, Golden Globes and Brit Awards amongst countless other achievements.
Troye and Lucas will be joined at the world renowned Studios 301 in Sydney by APRA AMCOS special guests Leland (US), Mona Koshoi (Sweden), Gia Woods (US), flowerkid and Lucy Blomkamp (both AU). This is a SongHubs event open exclusively to LGBTQIA+ identifying songwriters, producers and artists.
14 positions are available in total for APRA AMCOS members across Australia, New Zealand and the world to attend for the full week. Participants will come together with special guests to collaborate on new commercially-viable songs.
6 additional 2-day positions are available to Sydney-based members, on behalf of our partners The Abbey Road Institute. These participants will take part in Pride SongHubs The Tower, working from the Abbey Road Institute suite hosted at Studios 301. Partner Soho House will host our wrap up event in Sydney's hottest new venue.
