APRA AMCOS x Surround Sounds - Geelong and the Bellarine Music Festival

APRA AMCOS is taking to Surround Sounds - Geelong and the Bellarine Music Festival in Geelong, an initiative of City of Greater Geelong, and bringing a few songwriter friends with them! This workshop is a great opportunity for members of the local Geelong area and interstate to come together to network, and to discuss songwriting across multiple sessions with some fantastic speakers, including Alice Ivy, Jini Maxwell and Chris O'Neill.

Electronic musician and producer Alice Ivy unpacks how she juggles the various aspects of her career as an artist and songwriter. In conversation, we'll ask Alice how she built her team, what her revenue streams look like, how she finds collaborators, and what a release cycle looks like.

Join Jini Maxwell, curator and award-winning video games writer as they discuss games composition 101 with Chris O'Neill, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer, award-winning songwriter and Lead Audio at PlaySide Studios. The session will provide unique insights into how music is composed for games, and demonstrate how it differs to other forms of composition.
