The Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition deadline has been extended to Thursday 4 November 2021 to give songwriters one last chance to enter!

No further extensions will be granted! This year’s competition must close on 4 November.

Songwriters of all genres and career stages, from anywhere in the world, can enter. Songs can be in any language. Instrumentals, demos and unreleased songs are all eligible. Judges consider the entries based on the quality of the songwriting.

Not only are there cash prizes to be won but a Top 40 shortlist will be announced in February to recognise all the exciting talent that is out there.

A judging panel comprised of influential artists, producers, media and music industry professionals is set, including KLP, Jenny Morris, Anna Lunoe and reps from Double J, Jaxsta, The Industry Observer, Billboard, Warner Music Australia, Universal Music Australia, EMI Music Australia and more.

Thanks to new sponsor Jaxsta for helping to promote the competition to its worldwide network of songwriters and music creators.

As always, the full entry fee goes to support the transformative programs of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia (Noro). Since 2009, songwriters have contributed more than A$1.4m to help make NORO’s programs accessible to its participants and their families.

Entries close 11.59pm (AEDT) Thursday 4 November 2021. No further extensions!
