We kick off our SongCraft (fka Songwriter Series) event series in 2022 with a masterclass from Oscar Dawson, one of Australia's most in-demand producers and co-writers.
Oscar is one half of iconic indie rock gems Holy Holy, and boasts an extraordinary discography on which he has worked as a co-writer, producer and/or a mixer, including with artists such as Alex Lahey, Ali Barter, The Vanns and Tia Gostelow.
For this masterclass, Oscar will be doing a 'deep dive' into one of Holy Holy's most recognisable works, 'How You Been.' The session will dissect the detailed aspects of the songwriting and production process, including initial concepts, end goals and creative processes, and analyse WIPs and demos leading all the way up to the finished product.
