Register for EQUALIZE workshops for music makers
Free, one-day workshops to develop and hone songwriting and live audio skills
All Australian capital cities in October
Women and gender diverse* music makers across Australia are invited to register for EQUALIZE - a free, one-day, practical workshop focusing on songwriting and live audio skills.
Returning to all eight capital cities in October, sessions will be facilitated by experts in their fields, including Lucy Sugerman, Bree Tranter and more.
Hands-on skill development sessions will include Songwriting (learning compositional tips and methods from some of Australia's most skilled songwriters) and Live Sound (how to set up and mic equipment for the stage and use live mixing desks). Music creators of all skill levels and experience encouraged to register, with the workshops providing a supportive, inclusive and open environment.
The workshops are open to all women and gender diverse APRA AMCOS music creators, with support from SAE, QUT, Collarts, ANU, University of Tasmania and Women of Music Production (WOMP).
*APRA AMCOS recognises that ‘gender diverse’ embodies a variety of ways people experience gender, including non-binary, trans, gender non-conforming, other non-cis male gender expressions and more. Above all, APRA AMCOS believes that the EQUALIZE workshops should be an inclusive, safe and caring creative environment for all participants.
