APRA AMCOS is pleased to partner with Smugglers of Light Foundation in presenting the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Music and Media Award. The award will provide a promising Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander music or media practitioner a grant of $12,000.
This particular award has been established by the founders of Smugglers of Light in memory of Eli Westlake, who was tragically killed in Sydney on 7th June 2008 at age 21. One of the purposes of the Smugglers of Light Foundation is to encourage music education and training through scholarships, research grants and travel grants to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
