Taking place 20-22 January 2025 at Mad Proppa Deadly Studios in Armidale, NSW, followed by showcases at Tamworth Country Music Festival 23-25 Jan
3x positions open to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander APRA AMCOS members nationwide – closes 20 November
Mid-career and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander songwriter and producer APRA AMCOS members nationwide are invited to apply to NATSIMO's RESONATE COUNTRY 2025. Presented by Sound NSW and APRA AMCOS, this 3-day songwriting program is the first of its kind for the Indigenous music community and country music in Australia.
The program takes place from 20-22 January 2025 at Armidale's Mad Proppa Deadly Studios, followed by showcase performances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival on 23-25 January. Please note - applicants must be available for the full period 20 - 25 Jan to be considered for this opportunity.
Work with collaborators Gling Hunt, Joey Leigh Wagtail, Kyarna Cruse, Luke Peacock, Maddi Colville Walker and Warren H Williams, with more TBA. Some high-profile special guests will also be dropping in throughout the program including 13-time Golden Guitar winner, Matt Fell, and Nashville-based, multiple APRA Music Award winning Phil Barton.

Key information
- When: Monday 20 January - Wednesday 22 January 2025 (Armidale part), 23-25 January (Tamworth Country Music part)
- Where: Mad Proppa Deadly Studios, Armidale, NSW
- Expenses: Travel and accommodation are provided for the RESONATE Country program in Armidale. Each successful applicant will also receive an $800 participant fee
- Notification: Applications close Wednesday 20 November 2024, with successful applicants notified Wednesday 27 November 2024.

Requirements to undertake the opportunity
- Applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, self-identifying and be recognised by their community.
- Age requirement: Applicants must be 18 years old by 1 January 2025.
- Only one application per person will be accepted.
- Applications must be fully completed to be considered eligible.
- Eligibility is open to applicants from all over Australia.
- Applicants must possess a current ABN.
- Applications can be in written or audio-visual formats. For more information about this, contact the NATSIMO at [email protected]
- Successful participants must commit to the entire program, including potential travel on Sunday 19 January 2025 to and from Armidale/Tamworth.
