APRA AMCOS members shine in 2026 Grammy nominations

16 members have been honoured as nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards including Amyl and The Sniffers, Rüfüs Du Sol and Tame Impala

16 members have been honoured as nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards, spanning categories from dance and electronic to R&B, rock and visual media. 
 

The nominees

Tame Impala, aka Kevin Parker, is nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “End Of Summer”. He took home his first ever Grammy in 2024 as a co-writer and performer on Justice’s track “Neverender” in the same category. Parker has also received numerous APRA AMCOS accolades, including Song of the Year twice and a Billions Award for surpassing a billion streams on his track “The Less I Know the Better.” 

Staying in the EDM space, Rüfüs Du Sol and producer Cassian Stewart-Kasimba have been nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Inhale/Exhale. They took out the award for Best Dance Recording for “Alive” in 2022 and also picked up an APRA Music Award for Most Performed Dance/Electronic Work of the Year, for “On My Knees” in 2023. 

The unstoppable Amyl and The Sniffers have also picked up a nod for Best Rock Performance for “U Should Not Be Doing That", their first ever Grammy nomination. The track won Song Of The Year at the 2025 APRA Music Awards. 

Looking at the co-writers, Darvid Thor, Henry Jenkins and Hudson Whitlock’s track “The Hands of Time” was sampled on Leon Thomas’s “Feelings On Silent” from the album Mutt, which is nominated for Album of the Year. In the same category, Aotearoa New Zealand’s Frano Huet is a co-writer on “Wacced out Murals” from Kendrick Lamar’s nominated album GNX. 

Benjamin William Hastings gets a nomination for co-writing with Brandon Lake on track “Hard Fought Hallelujah", which is up for Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song, and in the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album composer, producer and artist GEM Auset is nominated for According to the Moon, a collaborative album with Cheryl B. Engelhardt.

Finally, hit-maker Sarah Aarons has been nominated along with co-writer Hailee Steinfeld on the track “Dangerous” from the movie Sinners, which is up for Best Score Soundtrack Album for Visual Media.

Gotye (aka Wally de Backer’s) mega hit “Somebody That I Used to Know” has been sampled on Doechii’s “Anxiety”, which is nominated for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Song of the Year. 

Three members are up for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for F1 The Album - Dom Dolla on track “No Room For a Saint” and recent Lily Allen collaborator, Leroy Clampitt on “All At Once”. New Zealand member, Harry Charles, was also a programmer on the Tate McRae track “Just Keep Watching”.

Several members contributed to Flo’s Best Progressive R&B nominated album Access All Areas, including Kiwi producer, songwriter and guitar player, Ashton Sellars, and Australian members Rudy Sandapa and Styalz Fuego. In the same category, Hiatus Kaiyote’s Simon Mavin wrote, produced and played keys on Bilal’s Best Progressive R&B nominated album, A2Z. 

Skrillex’s Grammy-nominated album F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 features two songwriter members – JamesJamesJames who wrote, produced and performed on “Azasu” and “Korabu”, and Alison Wonderland who wrote “Druids”. 

Previous Grammy-award-winning producer, M-Phazes, gets a nod on the production for Coco Jones’ track “Why not more? (More!)” from the nominated Best R&B Album AEOMG, and mixing and mastering engineer, Matthew Keller, has contributed to several tracks on Jesse Royal’s album No Place Like Home that’s up for Best Reggae Album. 

Fellow mixing engineer, Sam Gibson, contributed to the Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song for “I Know a Name” by Elevation Worship; Gabriel Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper) provided vocals on Haim’s track “Million Years”, whose album I Quit is up for Best Rock Album; and previous Grammy winner Linda Oh played double bass/bass guitar on multiple Michael Mayo works on album Fly that’s nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best Jazz Performance. 

Ahmen Mahal has songwriting credits on his father Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’s Best Traditional Blues Album nominated song “My Darling Dear” and on the nominated Best Contemporary Instrumental Album Shayan by Charu Suri, member Siyer sang on track “Inner Peace”. 

In addition to his nomination, Benjamin William Hastings gets another mention as a contributor for co-writing with Brandon Lake on King of Hearts for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for his work on tracks “As for Me and My Home”, “Hard Fought Hallelujah" and “That’s Who I Praise”. He has also contributed to a track on The Isaacs’ album Praise and Worship: More Than a Hollow Hallelujah which is up for Best Roots Gospel Album.  

Other members who also wrote on the album include Brooke Ligertwood, Benjamin Fielding, Paul Mabury, Joel Houston, Matt Crocker and Salomon Ligthelm, and staying in that category, members have contributed to nominated works by Karen Peck & New River and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir including Joel Houston, Mia Fieldes and Mitch Wong. 

Finally, Rupert Boyd’s arrangement and acoustic guitar has earnt him a nod on the New York Festival of Song’s nomination for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album for several tracks on Schubert Beatles.
