ScreenCraft: Bryony Marks and Dale Cornelius

Join APRA AMCOS in partnership with the AGSC for this free bespoke 'ScreenCraft' session on 4 June at the Melbourne APRA AMCOS office.

Join esteemed screen composers Bryony Marks and Dale Cornelius in conversation. They'll dive into their respective practices, covering topics such as:

  • Understanding the brief
  • Different approaches to presenting roughs to producers/ directors
  • Collaborating with musicians in the recording process
  • Workflow

Dale Cornelius:

Dale has written music scores for in excess of 200 hours of content, across 76 productions (IMDB); feature film, short film, animation, television drama, television reality shows, documentary series, and feature length documentaries.
His soundtracks have been streamed over 2 million times and Dale has been a featured composer on radio shows such as; Triple R (Film Buffs Forecast), ABC Classics FM, and 3MBS Melbourne, amongst others.

Bryony Marks:


Bryony is one of Australia's busiest screen composers. Bryony's score for Savage River won an AACTA in 2021, 2040 and Lambs of God won AACTAs in 2019 and were nominated for APRA Screen Music Awards, while the score for Frayed was also nominated for an AACTA in the same film. Bryony's score for Barracuda was awarded 'Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovie' at the 2017 APRA Screen Music Awards. She won 'Best Original Score' for Berlin Syndrome (2017) and Noise (2007) at the FCCA Awards. Recently, she has scored Class of 07 for Amazon, The Messenger for the ABC and Human Error for channel 9 and an independent feature film, Just a Farmer.
