Calling all Canberra-based musicians, songwriters and producers!

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for SongHubs Academy, a FREE, 6-week songwriting program taking place at Lake City Recording.

Local artist, producer and engineer Nicole Carr will facilitate the sessions, taking place across 6x Wednesday evenings throughout July & August.

12x positions are available for APRA AMCOS members aged 18 and over.

Expressions of interest close Sunday 21 June.


About Nicole Carr

Nicole Carr is an in-house audio engineer at Lake City Recording, working across Neo-Soul, Indie-Soul, R&B, and contemporary hip-hop.

Beginning her career as an artist and songwriter in 2016, she received recognition as a triple j Unearthed Feature Artist, with multiple songs receiving national rotation, and performed at festivals including Groovin the Moo.

Nicole completed a Certificate IV in Sound Production, and studied at Ableton LiveSchool, before gaining hands-on professional studio experience with Kay Ansah (Lake City Recording) and Louis Montgomery (Infidel Studios). 

Her credits include assistant engineering on YG’s Put It in My Hand (2024), lead engineering on Tivien’s Arcane EP, and extensive vocal recording and mixing for Canberra’s music scene, working with both emerging and established artists.

About SongHubs Academy

SongHubs Academy is a one-of-a-kind program tailored toward aspiring and emerging songwriters and will provide you with the tools, knowledge and connections you need to further your craft and career in the music industry. You will refine your songwriting and collaboration skills over six weeks with like-minded artists and sessions developed by the best songwriters and producers in Australian music.
You will also come away from SongHubs Academy with newly recorded music!
