Submissions open for 2026 Screen Music Awards

Screen composers, producers, directors and publishers invited to submit works across 13 categories

Submissions are open now until Thursday 25 June

The awards will be held at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday 28 October

APRA AMCOS and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC) are thrilled to invite submissions for the 2026 Screen Music Awards. These awards celebrate excellence and innovation in screen composition across 13 categories, recognising outstanding contributions in short films, television series, documentaries, children's programming, feature films, and more. 

Submissions are open now and close 11:59pm AEST Thursday 25 June.

Who can submit?

Submissions are open to any APRA composer member whose work was featured in a production that received its first public screening, broadcast, or release between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026. This includes releases on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Netflix, and other streaming services.

The eligibility period for Feature Film Score of the Year is from 1 July 2025 to 30 September 2026. The production must have its first public screening, broadcast, or commercial release within this timeframe.
