7,356 members (↑17.5%) submitted 156,859 Performance Reports (↑23.2%), resulting in 16,945 (↑19.8%) members - of those 90.8% unpublished - paid a total of $6.3m.

We gather ethnicity data for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori members on a voluntary basis for reporting purposes, and to focus education and outreach work in a way that meets the needs of these members. This data is indicative of trends in our membership.

The 2024 APRA Music Awards recognised an exciting mix of nominees, winners and performers on the night.
The Teskey Brothers (Mushroom Music), the special songwriting partnership of brothers Josh and Sam Teskey, were named Songwriter of the Year by the APRA Board of Writer and Publisher Directors.
Peer-Voted APRA Song of the Year was awarded to Troye Sivan and co-writer Styalz Fuego for the anthemic 'Rush', which took Australia and the world by storm.
Western Sydney's grentperez (Mushroom Music), was the inaugural recipient of the Emerging Songwriter of the Year award. His trajectory from YouTube covers to crafting gems like 'Cherry Wine' promises a bright future.
Legendary No Fixed Address singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bart Willoughby was honoured with the Ted Albert Award for Distinguished Servies to Australian Music.
Cold Chisel’s Don Walker spoke warmly about his friend, describing him as “A quiet man of great depth.”
Walker said: “It’s usual to say for example, that ‘Bart is worthy of this award.’ But I would say it’s the other way around: this award is worthy of Bart.”
In his acceptance, Bart said: “I just feel really proud. You just don’t know how proud I feel. I feel like I’m an Australian.”

Michael Yezerski (BMG) scored a double victory for his work on the magical Netflix series based on the popular books about Ivy + Bean and Amanda Brown (Universal Music Publishing) took home Best Music for a Television Series or Serial for her pitch-perfect work on worldwide hit, Deadloch.
