The global songwriting program bring together APRA AMCOS members with renowned local, national and international creators in a collaborative, professional studio setting

SongHubs aims to:
“I put my guys in sessions week in week out, and as with any they can be hit and miss. But there's a special bond and unity that arises from a camp like Songhubs where, if you get the mix of personalities, skills and recording artists right, you end up with some great results."
— Andrew Jackson (Milton Archer - Hook N Sling / The Aston Shuffle)
SongHubs is celebrating its 100th session in October 2024, cementing its position as one of the region’s most exciting and innovative programs for music creators.
Since its inception in 2013, its provided opportunities for over 2,000 Australian and New Zealand songwriters across over 30 locations worldwide, pairing them with local, national and global creatives in a collaborative, professional studio setting.
It’s evolved from a straight-forward writing camp to a highly sought after collaborative writing program, providing participants with new skills and connections to help build their career and produce commercially successful music.
To date, more than 6,000 tracks have been produced in several different languages (including Brazilian, Indian, Korean, Māori and First Nations languages) from collaborators including Briggs, Chaii, Courtney Barnett, GFlip, Lindsay Rimes, Sarah Aarons and Troye Sivan.
If you're an APRA AMCOS songwriter or composer, you could be eligible if you can demonstrate:
Important note on eligibility: APRA AMCOS members will be provided with an opportunity to attend a SongHubs event as a resident applicant, fully-funded applicant, or guest only once - no repeat participation in each position.

“SongHubs has been a major factor in the development of Georgi's writing style. The opportunity to write with a range of songwriters has been invaluable."

Launched in 2024, SongHubs Academy is a program tailored to foster the growth and development of aspiring songwriters across Australia. This APRA AMCOS initiative aims to provide emerging songwriters with the tools, knowledge, and connections necessary to further their careers in the music industry. The program is designed to bridge the gap between the SongMakers program that is delivered in High Schools across Australia, and the SongHubs program which is targeted towards established songwriters.
If you have any questions please email us at [email protected]
SongHubs Academy is designed to be an essential space for emerging songwriters to refine their songwriting skills and collaborate with like-minded artists. The program consists of regular songwriting sessions, facilitated by seasoned industry professionals, focusing on various aspects of songwriting, including lyric writing, melody crafting, chorus/hook development, and song structure. The program is run either as a weekly facilitated session, or condensed over the course of two to three full days.
20th June - 11th July, 2024 - Ballarat Arts Incubator, VIC
Facilitated by Franc Tetaz and Jackson Phelan (RAT!hammock)
