Our friends at Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) are giving Australian artists amazing insights and intel on how their music is being played across stations nationwide, through the amrap.org.au platform.
All artists with AMRAP accounts, who have uploaded music since 1 November 2024, now have access to more detailed community radio airplay data, thanks to Music Recognition Technology (MRT) being implemented across the entirety of the community radio network.
In partnership with CBAA, APRA AMCOS is excited to process more data from a diverse range of stations in metro, regional and remote areas, and deliver enhanced earnings data when you earn royalties from airplay.

How to access your Airplay data
- Log in to amrap.org.au and select your artist profile (or sign up!)
- Click on the Airplay option to access your airplay data. Select a date range (Past 7 Days, Past 30 Days, or Past 12 Months) to see your airplay by station in a bar chart. You can filter data by track or station using the dropdown menus, and view when your tracks were played by selecting the Daypart option.
- Below the chart, click Download Reports to get a detailed Excel report that includes track name, time of play, station, and time of day.
Important To Note:
- Tracks must be uploaded to amrap.org.au to be tracked. Only tracks uploaded from 1 November 2024 onward are included.
- From November 2025, only tracks uploaded within the past twelve months will be monitored.
- AMRAP relies on ‘audio fingerprints’ to match tracks. Altered tracks (for example, changed tempos or heavy talkovers) or issues with station monitoring may affect accuracy.
- This Airplay feature supersedes the long-running AMRAP Airplay Search.
- SUPER IMPORTANT: you need to register your songs with us to be eligible to earn broadcast royalties. Log in to the app or Portal.
Make sure to use new profile management tools on AMRAP, including the ability to view unpublished uploads with status updates, feature collaborative releases on your profile, delete releases, update bios and save drafts. It's vital to include information about you, your music and your promo activity to help make your music stand out to programmers.
CBAA worked in partnership with ACRCloud to implement this airplay tracking. ACRCloud is a comprehensive Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) provider which provides music recognition, broadcast monitoring, second screen interaction, copyright compliance, audience measurement, data de-duplication and offline recognition solution with audio fingerprinting technologies.

Frequently asked questions
Can I earn royalties from airplay on online radio and digital radio stations?
Yes. The majority of Australian and New Zealand online and digital radio stations are simulcasts of their analogue versions, and this additional use is licensed under their standard APRA AMCOS agreements.
Will I get paid for international radio or TV broadcasts of my song?
We do monitor overseas TV and radio broadcasts, as well as chart information. However if you know your music has been used overseas, you should email us at [email protected] so we can contact the society and make sure you’re paid.
