How do I log in to the Portal and/or app?

We’ve made these changes to give you a faster, more secure way to access and manage your account—without the need for a password.
Set up passwordless login
Sign in without a password using a secure one-time code sent to your email
Step 1
Enter your registered email address
Step 2
A unique code will be sent to your email address.
Code not recieved? It can take a minute or two. Check your spam, junk or promotions email folder. Ensure email address is correct.
Step 3
Enter your code. The code will expire in 10 minutes. Click 'Resend' to request a new code if necessary.
Step 4
If this is your first time logging into the Portal using passwordless login, you have an option to set up login using Passkey and SMS. You can skip this step and set up later.
Step 5
Success! You've logged into your dashboard.
Set up Passkey and SMS verification
Passkeys allow you to login securely without a traditional password, using device-based authentication (such as Touch ID, Face ID, device unlock etc.). Prefer using your phone? You can choose to receive a one-time verification code via SMS.
Step 1
Log in to the Portal using the steps above. Navigate to 'Manage login methods' via the profile menu.
To set up Passkey, click 'Add' in the Passkey section. Ensure your device supports passkey.

Follow the on-screen prompts to create a Passkey. These options differ depending on your device.

Enter your phone number. You will receive an SMS with a code.
Step 6
Enter the code to finish setup.
Code not received? Delivery can take a minute or two. Ensure the phone number is correct. Click 'Resend' to request a new code if necessary.

Success! Passkey and SMS login options have been enabled.
Supported passkey devices
Passkeys are supported on:
- iOS 16+ and macOS Ventura+ (with iCloud Keychain)
- Android 9 (with Google Password Manager)
- Windows 10/11 (with Windows Hello)
- Most modern browsers including Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox.
You can register multiple passkeys across devices for flexibility.
Passkey not working?
Make sure you're on a supported device and browser. Passkeys work best with the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
If you've switched devices or cleared browser settings, you may need to set up your passkey again.

Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to the Writer Portal?
In the 'Log in' menu on the website, choose 'Songwriters and composers' and then log in to your account. Enter your email address - the one you use for APRA AMCOS correspondence.

What is passwordless login?
We use a simple, secure method to log you in – no passwords required. Just enter your account email and we will send you a one-time code. You can also log in with a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint, or your device unlock).
