Workshop mentors
Songwriting: Lucy Sugerman
Hailing from Canberra, Lucy crafts alt-folk-pop that pairs vulnerable lyricism with sticky melodic hooks and emotional depth with melodic confidence.
A captivating live performer, Lucy has graced the stages of iconic Australian festivals including Groovin’ the Moo, and Yours & Owls and supported acclaimed artists such as Gretta Ray, Ben Lee, Odette and Thelma Plum, cementing her reputation as a magnetic and emotionally resonant live act.
Recording & producing: Nicole Carr
Nicole Carr is an artist, engineer, mixer, producer and songwriter based in Canberra working out of Lake City Recording.
Her work as artist and songwriter, earned her recognition as a triple j Unearthed Feature Artist and on festival line ups including Groovin the Moo.
Nicole developed her skills in recording, production and mixing under the mentorship of Kay Ansah and Louis Montgomery, bringing a creative, artist-focused approach to production and engineering, across Neo-Soul, Indie-Soul, R&B, and contemporary hip-hop.
