About Patty Preece:
Patty Preece is a music producer, recording engineer, sound artist and Ableton Live Certified Trainer with more than 20 years’ experience making, producing and performing music. They have toured internationally as a musician and are one half of electronic arts duo The Ironing Maidens, whose work has taken them from festival stages and arts venues to galleries, conferences and laundromats around the world.
Alongside their creative practice, Patty teaches music production and technology in the Bachelor of Music at CQUniversity and is passionate about making music production skills accessible, practical and fun. Their work spans songwriting, recording, electronic music production, sound design and live performance, and they are currently undertaking a PhD exploring posthuman sonic methodologies.
