Milly Petriella, Member Relations and Partnerships Director has decided to step down from her role and leave APRA AMCOS in February 2023.
In her 27 years at APRA AMCOS Milly has created many programs, and has championed our songwriter members through all stages of their careers. Her achievements include establishing global member relations representatives in London, Nashville and LA to support members seeking to build their careers in international markets; and initiating the APRA AMCOS SongHubs program in 2013. To date, 80 SongHubs songwriting residencies have run globally, earning our songwriters and publishers over $4 million in performance royalties.
Milly has advocated on behalf of our members ensuring they are acknowledged and recognised globally for their successes, here and overseas. She pioneered the introduction of the International Achievement Award at the APRA Music Awards, and the creation of The 1,000,000,000 List – the first award of its kind to recognise a songwriter’s achievement in the digital streaming space.
Having served on the NORO (Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy) Board for many years, Milly has been instrumental in raising more than a million dollars through the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition.
APRA AMCOS acknowledges and thanks Milly for her contribution to the organisation and our members across nearly three decades.
Milly will work with us until the end of February to ensure a smooth transition for our members and programs she’s been leading. Milly’s next venture still keeps her in the music world, and we wish her every success.
